Understanding Orders, DDS, SeneSite and CDO

There are 4 different ways to get orders to your customers:

Distributor Product Orders
When distributors order products directly from SeneGence using the Order -> Products option in the back office, the entire order will be sent to the distributor. It is then up to the distributor to deliver (or mail) the products to their customers. You will also need to invoice your customers to receive payment.

*Demo Drop Ship (DDS)
This option is ideal when you have long-distance customers or have a party where the orders will need to be sent to multiple locations.

SeneGence does not take a percentage from the distributor when this method is utilized. You are still responsible, however, for invoicing and collecting payment from your customer. You will use your credit card on file with SeneGence to provide payment.

To use DDS, log in to your back office. Go to Order -> Demo Drop Ship.

You will need to create a customer profile for each customer in order to proceed. From there, the process is the same as creating a distributor order.

*Customer Direct Order (CDO)

CDO is when the customer is able to order from the SeneGence website utilizing your distributor ID. They then enter your distributor number on the SeneGence website, shop and place their order and provide payment on the website. The company will then send the order directly to the customer.

To utilize CDO, a distributor must active it by going into the back office -> Business -> Distributor Profile -> Update Distributor Profile.

Once you are in your profile, look to the right and you will see Customer Direct Order (CDO) Information. Turn the CDO on or off.

You can then direct your customers to the SeneGence website using the link www.senegence.com/SeneWeb/contact/shop-now. Be sure to provide your distributor ID to your customers. If you have setup your SeneSite and selected CDO, you can direct your customers to your custom SeneSite URL.

My one hesitation to using CDO is that the customer will be charged the shipping fee AND handling fee. Even if they order one color, they will be charged $7.50. I personally don't want my customers to be turned off by the high shipping fee so I prefer to use DDS.

*NOTE: When using DDS or CDO, your discount is based on what your current PV for the month is. Personally, I don't suggest using DDS or CDO unless you are at the 50% off tier for the month. Otherwise, you stand to lose profit.

SeneSite
One of the most frequently asked questions from new distributors is "How come my name doesn't show up when I search for my zip code for distributors?" That is a feature only provided to those individuals that have bought a SeneSite. That is the reason you do not see your name popping up in Search.

It is optional to purchase a SeneSite, which is like the company website, but with your photo and contact info on it. It costs $30/month or $300 for the whole year. It will only feature products that are in stock with the company at the time the customer is shopping. If you happen to have some product on hand that is NOT in stock at the company, you cannot feature those items on that SeneSite. When setting up your SeneSite, you can control how much shipping, handling and tax the customer will be charged. You can choose to fulfill the orders yourself with your personal inventory  when customers buy through the SeneSite OR you can toggle a switch to turn on CDO (Customer Direct Ordering) so that the company will fulfill and send out the orders straight to the customers.  In this CDO case, you cannot dictate the shipping and handling as the company will always charge at least $7.50 even for 1 starter set. (Fed Ex shipping $3 - and $4.50 for handling.) With the CDO, you will incur a 10% fee.

The main benefit to having the SeneSite is that you are listed in the search function when random customers search your zip code for distributors.
